I'm hoping that it won't be a wintry wonderland competition next year, maybe a little more oriented to the southern hemisphere folk XD.
I think I've used my handwriting in walls a few times... when you can't find the right font it's easier to use your own scrawl, plus it's more fun and customizable! You should wall and use your handwriting then :D.

Yes that's my handwriting XD. I was trying to use fonts but it never turns out, so if I write it it's so much easier XD. It's a lot neater than my usual scrawl though :P

ok so…to get rid of the ridiculous LAG TIMES give it like, 5 really short bristles or something, but make them well endowed, THICK, AND STIFF. (srs: this makes up for the lack of actual bristles, and stiffer means they won't be flying everywhere and making you color out of the lines unexpectedly and stuff) The reason the brush lags so much is because it spends a lot of time trying to calculate how the bristles move, so you just get rid of all that information.I like textured brushes because you can add paper textures and stuff, but they can make brushes lag a lot, too, so that's optional.
to make it stop acting like a GLORIFIED SMUDGE TOOL: turn down the wetness to 1% so the thing will actually color instead of blending everything crazy (but 0 turns blending off and makes it pointless) mix and load are like enveffect and penetration in opencanvas 1.1, respectively, if you've ever used that. Anyway the settings I used there actually makes it feel like opencanvas or sai brushes.
One weird thing is that alt+click doesn't pick colors, but has a "sample" from the surrounding area so you can actually load multiple colors on your brush at once. It's pretty nifty, and I used it to make the purple brush strokes look more like real paint.
But if you just want one color you can just pick like normal by actually switching to the eyedropper tool or using the color picker.maybe I should make this a forum thread instead of dumping it in your gb…but I feel like I'd need to pretty it up or something.
